From our DOC

A Message from our DOC,
Garreth Barker

Last week we held Liverpool FC staff development training at our central offices for all club coaches. This was an essential step in ensuring we all transition to the Liverpool FC curriculum seamlessly.

I have worked in many professional Football Clubs at Premiership and Championship level in England and I believe that our technical organization and staff development will soon be on par or better than my past clubs.

The evening covered curriculum design on Sports Session Planner, implementation for all age groups in the club, and demonstrated how the coaches will now have a greater ability to benefit from LFC worldwide resources. This will benefit our players enormously. The new system for building and planning sessions gives more clarity, ownership, and ultimately empowers the coaches to work retrospectively post game.

I feel that this is a massive step forward for us in session planning and session delivery and we will all start to see the benefits.

We rounded the evening off with some more technical game based learning and used this time to reiterate our required standards for all coaches. I feel that our coaches do a very good job and so we also took this opportunity  to thank them.

Message from our CEO, Tim Woodcock

Message from our CEO,
Tim Woodcock

Thank you for your patience as we navigate these unprecedented times!

We understand that sport and physical activity has an impact on a child’s physical and mental well-being and, since history has proven that, we will be back to our normal activities as soon as possible. We are extremely confident in our ability to deliver our season and are committed to our players and parents.

To this end, we are retaining our staff to help support this intent and have contingencies in place for program delivery if we have to delay the current anticipated return. This could include an extended season, a change in club break or other similar opportunities to ensure players receive their programming.

In light of the challenges currently faced at LFC International Academies around the world we are finalizing a plan of activities which will keep our players engaged with LFC whilst our practices are temporarily suspended, as well as select partners for our recreational players, including moti sports. Material relating to this will shortly be sent to our registered players!

We may not be able to formally practice or play games at this time, but this situation lends itself to exercising our CORE Values off of the field. My hope is you take advantage of this time to work on you; your AMBITION, your DIGNITY, your UNITY and your COMMITMENT!

Thank you for your ongoing confidence, care, and trust. Take care and be well.

Hello PCA Families,

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to send my best to all the families at this time and urge all players to stay safe and follow the guidelines given from their parents.

Although, there is no soccer practices/games at this very moment, it is still a good time to get your touches on the ball at home and be ready for our PCA program once we start back up again. We are looking forward to getting back on the field in the coming weeks.

For now, stay safe, have fun and we will see you all soon.

Coach Adam
